Settings has five tabs. Pick the one you need; the rest stay out of your way.

Account

Display name, email, and avatar. The display name is what shows up next to your avatar. Change it whenever you want. It does not affect your handle or your URL. The email is the address Auth0 has on file. Changing it goes through Auth0, not through this page. The page shows what Auth0 sees so you can check it matches what you expect. The avatar comes from Auth0 too (usually whichever social provider you signed in with, or a Gravatar if you used email). If you want a different avatar, change it at the source and it propagates here.

Security

Linked login methods and two factor status. You can sign in with whichever methods you have linked through Auth0: email and password, Google, GitHub, and so on. The security tab lists the active ones. Adding or removing methods happens through Auth0’s own UI, which the platform links out to. Two factor authentication is set up through Auth0. If you have it on, the platform shows that here as a confirmation. If you do not, the tab nudges you to turn it on. We do not enforce 2FA; we think you should turn it on anyway.

Notifications

Email opt ins. You can turn each one on or off independently.
  • MCQ feedback emails: a follow up after you got a question wrong, with the explanation, in case you want to read it on the train.
  • Streak milestones: a heads up when you hit 7, 30, 100 days.
  • Weekly digest: a Sunday summary of what you did the past week.
Everything is opt in. The platform never sends marketing mail; the only emails are these.

Sandbox

Time zone preference. The time zone affects two things:
  • When your streak rolls over. If you finish a question at 11 PM in your time zone, that counts for that day. The default is UTC, which is almost certainly not what you want.
  • The timestamps shown on your patch log and badges.
Pick your local time zone here. If you move, change it.

Danger zone

Account deletion. The delete button removes your account permanently. That means:
  • All your labs and challenges (the records, not the platform’s content) are gone.
  • Your XP, badges, streak, heatmap, patch log are gone.
  • Your public profile at /u/your-handle returns a 404.
  • Your handle is freed back into the pool.
There is no undo. There is no soft delete or recovery window. Once you confirm, it is final. If you want a clean slate without losing your handle, the platform does not offer that today. The only options are keep going or delete.
